Tips for getting started
It may take up to two weeks for your pet to fully accept the brace
For up to 12 hours, wear the brace for 30 minutes a day, increasing the time by 30 minutes each day.
Wear your brace according to your veterinarian’s instructions
When your animal goes to sleep at night, remove the brace
Look for signs of skin irritation on your pet. Contact your veterinarian if any of these symptoms exist
Wipe the brace clean, and keep the skin and fur in contact with it clean as well
Make sure your brace is in good working order by inspecting it regularly
Observe
A major purpose of the collar is to assist wound healing and prevent licking, so it is not suitable for dogs with severe injuries.
Let the skin breathe by removing the stent 2-3 times a day
If you leave your dog unattended or in a cage, you must remove the stand
